The Tokyo Surfboards 9-1 is the pinical of progressive / performance longboard riding, initally designed by Chris Jones & Phil Hodge with imput from team rider Ben Harworth.
This is one special title winning board. It was tweeked for 2020 by Jim Brooks-Dowset to suit team riders Sean Facey & Jack Gregorious. A perfect blend of flow and stability but with a pulled in tail for more powerful conditions and harder, tighter turns. Jim  increased the nose rocker which has made it easier to surf progressively and given it the perfect speed for performannce noseriding!
 
The constant evolution of this board has made it unsuitable for small waves, think over head with vertical turns, cheet 5's at a hundred miles an hour.

Once one of the most versatile competition 9-1 boards out there, and a stack of awards are testament to that.
